We had an amazing week at Beacon Hill. What a location, right on the South Downs, so quiet but not remote (5 mins to South Harding Village shop) with so many places to visit within a 30min drive. The Barn has been created with such attention to detail and comfort. It was so perfect, we stayed in and enjoyed cooking every night and relaxing in front of the wood burning fire, looking up at the stars (this is a Dark Skies zone) and then snuggling up in our cosy beds. But the best was the wonderful hospitality we had from Hugo and Jo, who really understand how to give their guests the peace and calm they need for a relaxing holiday. Their welcome book has so many great recommendations and local tips, that we need to come back for a few return stays! Wild walks, fascinating wildlife and tasty blackberries all on our doorstep, what could be more perfect....

Wonderful welcome at the barn, beautiful interior & surroundings, if you venture up the hill the views across the area are stunning & gives easy access to the South Downs way. Nice pubs nearby serving good food and very welcoming, however not necessarily walkable in the dark. Lots to visit nearby such as the Weald & Downland museum and Portsmouth historic dockyard. All in all a fabulous week & a definite stay in the future!...

A delightful Barn in a scenic rural setting with outstanding views. Ideal for relaxing. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was beautifully appointed. Easy access to great walks along the South Downs Way and local villages.

A superb cottage, the best we have ever stayed in.
The location is great, as are the hosts Hugo & Jo
There is a very good pub in Elsted (about one mile away) offering excellent beer and food
