Cleo's Hut

Cleo’s hut was perfect. Everything was there that we needed. Wi-Fi good and cosy in hut. Bed comfy and wood fired hot tub perfect. Thank you.

Cleo's hut is in a lovely location, with very helpful owners. The wood burning hot tub was a lovely treat. During our stay we saw pheasants, bats, deer, and even a gloworm. It was truly magical. The only negative about the whole experience was the mattress. The rest of the property was a very high standard, but the mattress was very bare, lumpy, and had large divots in places. You could feel the springs in a number of places. This led to a very uncomfortable experience. Everything else was excellent though and we had a wonderful time. The owners were especially good; welcoming and helpful. The additional amenities (logs, wood, and eggs) were reasonably priced (and the eggs were delicious). I appreciated the free fuel for the internal log burner. The hut was nicely decorated, and the hot water was quick to come through and got to a very good temperature. Despite the size of the kitchen area, the simk was very generous, which made washing up a lot easier. The outside fire pit and seating area is the main cooking method (aside from a very small electric hob), so bring charcoal! ...

I booked this break as a solo retreat and it was perfect! It was private, in the middle of the countryside, wildlife all around, quiet. The sheep in the field next door were bleating away at times and I saw deer in my field. I was able to use the hot tub as a cold plunge which in the heat was brilliant. Whilst cooling off in there I watched a blue tit feasting on the berries in a bush next to the hot tub. The outside deck area was perfect for yoga and meditation. Oh and the shower pressure…wow! I wasn’t expecting much from a shepherds hut shower but was very pleasantly surprised. It was so comfortable and perfectly proportioned inside and in the cooler months would be so cosy - I will be coming back again and think I may just have to experience all the seasons here!! I set off early on the last day to watch the sunrise at nearby Ferring beach and hope I was quiet enough as it was obviously early and dark! Thank you for providing such a beautifully tranquil place to stay. Can’t wait to come back again!...

Cleo’s hut was such a wonderful place to stay for my husband and I. The hut was very clean and tidy and pretty overall. As we arrived the wood burning hot tub was already at a great temperature to enjoy! The bed was comfy too (which was great because I’m currently pregnant). Also, the location of the hut is private and in its own field, so it was really lovely and peaceful and nice to walk around in! Overall, we were very happy with our weekend away, will definitely be back at some point, thank you! :) ...
