KingEscape and enjoy some peace and quiet in this luxury hand-built shepherd's hut with wood-fired hot tub, just two hours from London and close to the city of Brighton.
If you're looking for a rural escape where you can sit back on the sundeck and listen to mother nature whilst watching the sheep graze, then this is the spot for you.
As you step through the stable-door there is a super comfy king-size bed, dressed in sumptuous linens for a wonderful night's sleep. To the far end of the hut is a cosy wood-burning stove and a door which leads to an en suite shower-room.
The kitchenette is well-equipped with an electric hob, toaster, kettle, induction hot plate and fridge, perfect for rustling up a quick meal. The decking is a lovely spot to catch the afternoon sun or make a cocktail or two, or at night sit around the fire-pit and toast marshmallows whilst you look up and do some stargazing.
Cleo's Hut got her name after Cleo Rocos who starred alongside Kenny Everett the famous TV presenter and comedian who lived in the main house here in the 1970s.
If you require additional accommodation, you can book Kenny's Hut (4920) a shepherd's hut located in a nearby field which sleeps two or The Piggery at John Bulls House (4922) nearby, which also sleeps two.
For the ultimate pampering experience why not book a beauty treatment enjoyed in the open air beside Cleo's Hut? The owner can arrange for a beauty therapist to visit, and guests can book a range of treatments direct including body massages, facials and Indian head massages to name just a few.
Remember to pack your hiking boots or bicycle and explore Devils Dyke, the South Downs Way and the Downs Link. Bikes can also be hired from the owner.
Enjoy meals out at The Crabtree Pub, Leonardslee Gardens, South Lodge Hotel and Spa and the Bolney Stage pub, some within walking distance.
Visit Brighton (a 20 minute drive) for some great night life or retail therapy. Walk the Palace Pier, visit the Sea Life Centre or wander 'The Lanes' where there are many unique and interesting boutique, antique and music shops, cafes and some lovely restaurants.
Sussex has many attractions to explore including Nymans, Wakehurst, Leonardslee Lakes and Garden, Borde Hill Garden, Amberley Museum, Amberley Castle, Wings Museum, Arundel Castle, Bolney Wine Estate, Brighton Pavilion, The Bluebell Railway, Parham House and Gardens, Chichester Cathedral, Goodwood House or Petworth House and many more before returning to the wonderful Cleo's Hut.
