This comfortable historic cottage is in a brilliant situation - in the grounds of Mount Edgecombe Park. From the doorstep you can walk along the coastal path to charming coastal villages, with great pubs and good food. There are woods, parkland and formal gardens to explore and the Cremyl foot ferry runs every half hour across to Plymouth and all the city offers. ...

The housekeeper does an excellent job, the cottage was very clean throughout. The location is an interesting one, in a beautiful country park, and we saw lots of wild life. We went in October & the pub was closed but thankfully the Orangery was still operating & does excellent food as does the cafe next door. Unfortunately two of the panel heaters were not working when we arrived, and although the maintenance staff were very helpful & kind it wasn’t the best start, on a cold and wet day. Excellent kitchen which has been refurbished, but we felt the rest of the cottage could do with an upgrade to come up to the standard we have come to expect from Classic Cottages portfolio. ...

A well furnished cottage in a great location.

This is the forth time we have stayed at Horseshoe Cottage. The area is just perfect for dogs and kids. The gardens and grounds are beautifully maintained and it is such a luxury to be able to walk down to the sea within 3 minutes of closing your front door. We spent far too much money on the local ice-cream but it is soooo delicious we had to taste a different flavour every day. The House was only operating guided tour visits which we weren't sure about since we had been before, but we learnt so much and it was very enjoyable and interesting. All the staff we met were lovely. We'll definitely be going back again....
