Snuggledown was quite excellent in every way - exactly what we wanted in a peaceful location, not too far from everyday facilities. Situated with direct pedestrian access to the Luxulyan Valley World Heritage Site without having to go on the road, it is perfect for dog owners with well-behaved pets. Even in winter, it is light and airy, with lovely rural views. The cottage was comfortable and immaculately presented, and our reception was warm and welcoming. We recommend it highly and hope to return ourselves....

The property is in a most idyllic quiet rural area and there are lovely walks straight from the property into the surrounding countryside and woodland areas. A wonderfully, peaceful retreat and yet within easy reach of the coast and all that that offers....

Lovely light airy living area with very comfortable chairs for sitting in and enjoying the views. With the large windows right to the ground, we were also able to experience the views from the bedroom (really nice to wake up and enjoy that cuppa in bed!) The hall area, just inside the front door, was very useful for hanging coats, drying wellies (we hit some rainy weather!) and was well-stocked with practical storage baskets....

We had a very nice 14 day stay in Snuggledown and enjoyed the time there very much. The cottage is very well equipped and we were very well looked after by the helpful owner. Snuggledown is ideal as a starting point for trips to the surrounding area and to the beaches. However, the narrow streets to the cottage need to get used to. All in all highly recommended....

I was so lucky with warm sunshine all week, so really enjoyed the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the garden - so peaceful and relaxing, watching bunnies in the garden, the cows beyond the fence and often no sound apart from birdsong and the occasional moo! The large windows in the bedroom too were a delight for morning tea in bed. Cottage was spacious and comfortable with a well stocked kitchen. The bathroom was clean and warm with constant hot water. The water is from a spring so very soft too. The drive to/from the main road is a mile through narrow lanes (from A390) - keep an eye out for the passing places - but I didn't meet any traffic all week. Probably not that good for a low-slung or wide car but this time of year, lined with bluebells, campions and wild garlic. A trip to Fowey - I'd suggest parking in the main car park at the top of the hill and getting the shuttle bus into the village; £1 down the hill and £2 back up again! Lovely village with lots of cute shops. Truro - recommend the park & ride which is well signposted and easy to use - £2.20 pay on the bus. Next to the Tregurra car park is a Waitrose and next to that is a shop selling Cornish and local produce with a good fresh fish section. Big thank you to host, Verna, who was very helpful, friendly and kind and a mine of local information. ...
