Super-kingOffering stunning views over Gare Loch across to the mountains of the Highlands beyond, this is the perfect retreat for discerning couples seeking spacious, luxurious comfort in a tranquil setting. Surrounded by water on three sides, with only a short drive to the beauty of Loch Lomond and 40 minutes from the cosmopolitan city of Glasgow, Cape Gare offers the best of both worlds.
With its own private entrance and forming the west wing of a purpouse built holiday property, Cape Gare has been designed with the utmost care and attention offering panoramic views over the water. Head up two steps and through the front door and you'll be bowled over by the views through the floor to ceiling sliding doors. The gentle movement of the water with the mountains in the distance is mesmerising. The stylish open plan living-room is laid out to take full advantage of those views.
After a day exploring the many nearby attractions you can retire to the spacious bedroom, an oasis of calm and tranquility, where you will find even more wonderful views to gaze at. Through the patio door is a balcony area with glass balustrade overlooking the loch where you can relax and enjoy al fresco dining from sunrise to sunset with the most stunning of backdrops. Or walk around to the side of the property and cook up a storm on the barbecue while watching the wildlife from the picnic bench.
To enhance your stay in this beautiful property corporate membership and use of the five star Carrick Spa, Country Club and 18 hole golf course on Loch Lomond is included, this is located only 15 mins away. There are spa facilities including steam rooms, saunas and an 18-hole golf course 'The Carrick on Loch Lomond', a par-71 course.
Cape Gare is located on the fringe of the Loch Lomond park with Loch Lomond being only a short 10-minute drive away. Sitting in the picturesque Rhu Point peninsula and with the cool waters of Gare Loch lapping only feet away from the patio, you couldn't be closer to the shoreline. There are magnificent views across the loch to the mountains beyond and at night sit and watch the twinkling lights of Roseneath across the bay.
Rhu beach is a pretty half moon bay 10 yards from the gate with superb views over to Rhu marina, a great place to sit in the summer sunshine or take a bracing morning walk along the sand. There are inns and resaurants close by and in the market town of Helensburgh a 30 minute walk along the promenade. Helensburgh train station provides a service to Edinburgh via Glasgow, or chose to visit Oban, Mallaig and Fort William on the scenic railway line over the "Harry Potter" bridge.
Your Loch Lomond and Trossachs holiday will be filled with amazing activities. Take time to walk mapped-out routes, challenge yourself to a climbing experience with an instructor or enjoy a treetop adventure at TreeZone. Birdwatchers may be lucky enough to spot a golden eagle on the 40k nature trail, here you can cycle or fish surrounded by glorious countryside.
For cultural pastimes visit the National Trust's Hill House in Helensburgh or visit Balloch Country Park. No visit to Scotland is complete without relishing some local dishes, haggis and neeps and tatties are a must. What are you waiting for!
