Bedroom 1
DoubleA quaint and cosy Grade II Listed cottage, set in a tranquil beautiful location on a family-run farm.
This charming cottage has lots of little quirky features due to its age, from the sheltered courtyard where you park your car, to the stable-door into the small but perfect formed kitchen (please watch the step and mind your heads) which has everything you might need for a feast of local treats. The kitchen leads up to the cute sitting/dining-room that overlooks the sunny and sheltered front garden. In the winter, enjoy snuggling up together on the sofa watching a film using the Amazon Fire TV Stick, enjoying the warmth of the flickering flames of the wood-burner after a brisk countryside walk, or in the warmer months leave the front door open and enjoy the balmy breeze.
Upstairs you will find the lovely bedroom also looking over the front garden. Fall asleep with the windows open listening to the hooting owls and the dawn chorus, what could be more relaxing. There is also a handy sink in the bedroom and the shower-room is found downstairs, just off the kitchen, so perfect for washing those sandy toes at the end of the day.
The enclosed garden at Chybean is a lovely spot to sit back and relax with your four-legged friend catching the sun most of the day. The footpaths are abundant and right from your front door; set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and surrounded by the waters of Carrick Roads there is so much to explore. There is a pretty estuary shingle beach only 300 yards down the hill from the cottage, perfect for taking a paddleboard down and exploring these waters.
This lovely location is shared by the adjoining cottage Chyvounder (5117), which is ideal should you want to holiday with your extended family or group of friends. If you love the water this is the perfect place for you, the owners are able to offer by separate arrangement (on availability) a mooring which is only 300 yards from the property and boat storage, there is also handy launching very nearby and at Mylor Harbour too.
There are lots of places to eat nearby with the 13th Century Pandora Inn reached by a short walk along the creekside path. The village of Mylor Bridge is only a mile away and has an excellent selection of shops and the popular Lemon Arms pub too. Falmouth is only a short drive away with an abundance of restaurants, shops and cafes and the pretty banks of the Helford are within easy reach too. This really is a dreamy location you will want to return to time and time again.
