Super-kingIf you are looking for a room with a view, it doesn't get much better than this. Tucked away in a prime cliffside position, with views that stretch out across the shimmering waters of Whitsand Bay and as far as the eye can see along the south Cornish coast, The Hideaway promises an unforgettable stay.
From lazy mornings under the covers gazing out to sea, relaxing with a good book on your private terrace with the sounds of the sea as your playlist, long walks discovering delights along the coastal paths and dining under the open skies whilst watching the most stunning of sunsets, this little coastal retreat is a real tonic for the soul.
Step inside and the cosy and comfortable interiors have been cleverly designed to make the most of this very special setting. The living-room and dining-area take pride of place behind the large picture window which perfectly frames the view and set up on a mezzanine floor the bedroom area does not miss out on the view either (should you require a little privacy there is a screen you can pull across).
Set at the end of a private track (not suitable for low slung cars) the friendly owner and her two curious kittens live next door, there to provide you with a warm welcome and then leave you to enjoy this little piece of paradise in peace.
Located in what is said to be 'the forgotten corner of Cornwall', this unspoilt part of the county is yet to be discovered by hordes of tourists, and exploring this beautiful area is a delight.
The coastal path leads right from your doorstep with tracks tempting you down to the beaches, out to the headlands, into the local villages and beyond. You could try your hand at kite surfing and coasteering at the local surf school or perhaps a round of golf at the local links course. The historic houses and gardens of nearby Mount Edgcumbe and Antony are well worth a visit or wind your way through the charming villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, with their pretty houses, narrow streets and good choice of cafes, pubs and restaurants.
For some city culture hop on the little ferry from Cremyll to Plymouth to enjoy some retail therapy, watch some live theatre or visit the historic Barbican, Plymouth Hoe and the trendy Royal William Yard, a unique location for food and drinks, shopping and events.
Ground Floor
Open plan living-room with kitchen, dining and bedroom areas. Smart TV. Electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Super-king double bed (6')
Shower-room with shower, WC and wash-basin
Please note, there are several steps up to the bedroom area. The access to The Hideaway is down a track that is not suitable for low slung cars. Just along the cliff is Polhawn Fort, a wedding venue, so on occasion you might hear the sound of happy gatherings. The owner at times uses the side access alongside the Hideaway to access her property. She as always will be mindful and respectful of your privacy.
