SingleNorth Devon is renowned for its unspoilt coastline, sandy surfing beaches, rugged cliffs and gentle, rolling countryside inland. You will have the best of both worlds at Little Yeo, which lies in a quiet rural setting just a few miles from the pretty coastal villages of Instow and Appledore and upriver from the market town of Bideford with its attractive quay, seasonal boat trips to Lundy Island and historic bridge over the River Torridge.
This single-storey cottage offers chic stylish furnishings with little touches throughout that will delight the eye. The open plan living area benefits from a fully equipped kitchen, perfectly positioned dining-table and a joyous sitting-area offering a lovely cosy sofa to snuggle into. Enjoy a book whilst the wood-burner keeps you toasty warm on those chiller evenings, the thoughtful owners will have the fire ready for your arrival so all you have to do is strike a match!
As you walk up the corridor you will pass the shower-room before you reach both bedrooms. The first bedroom offers a sense of calm and tranquility with a gorgeous three foot single bed and crisp white linens. The second is a spacious double bedroom with sumptuous king-size bed and vintage furniture adding to the beauty of the surroundings which is accessed via a few steps!
The large south west facing garden feels very private and away from the owners' house. Enjoy lovely views out over the large enclosed garden and the patio, which catches the best of the summer sun. The garden is a relaxing level space with lawn and a border of mature trees, there is an additional little wooded paddock where your children can explore and where your four-legged family members are welcome.
Outings to the north Devon coast are a must - with a choice of stunning clifftop walks, little coves or long sandy beaches. Towards Cornwall you will find the historic village of Clovelly with its cobbled streets plunging down to the harbour (you can cheat and take a Land Rover ride back up to the car park at the top of the hill) and Hartland Point for one of the most breathtaking sections of the South West Coast Path. Beyond Barnstaple you can explore the World Heritage Site at Braunton Burrows - the largest expanse of sand dunes in the UK - and a bit further along the coast the surfing beaches of Croyde and Woolacombe. Many of the beaches here have all year round dog-friendly sections so there is something to suit all.
