Growing up on a farm in Cornwall, Penelope enjoys everything about nature and the outdoors. Although there were ten years spent in London working in marketing, the ocean called and she moved back to the place she has always called ‘home’. Still working in marketing, Penelope gets all of the best bits - living near the sea and doing a job she loves.
Boats, beaches, barbecues, all of the Cornish clichés - Penelope’s doing them! Clichés aside though, exploring the colourful coastline, finding a sheltered swimming spot and always making time for a coffee stop is core to her weekend schedule (maybe with a cosy pub thrown in the mix too in winter). And nearly always with her dog, Otto, in tow.
Penelope’s favourite places to visit outside of Cornwall are Scotland and South Devon. Scotland for its vast and dramatic landscapes, South Devon for the coastline and for an excuse to visit Totnes, one of her favourite towns in the whole of the UK. Plus, she always loves a trip back to the big smoke to get a fix of culture, food and catching up with old friends.
