1. Cobb Cottage, Lyme Regis, Dorset
Great for: lavish interiors and the prettiest exterior
We know this feature focuses on the beachy interiors but we couldn’t help including the exterior of Cobb Cottage first, with its blue shutters, veranda and pretty sash windows! The inside of this cottage carries the same charm.
Clean white walls with splashes of British seaside colours throughout, from bold red, white and blue in the twin room to turquoise tones in the fourth bedroom, each room has been thoughtfully put together to give a bright and light seaside style throughout.
2. Anchorage, Port Isaac, Cornwall
Great for: the Cornish coastal style home
Anchorage carries bundles of coastal charm with its neutral colour palette and luxurious furnishings. This home-from-home is very classic in style and has been designed to provide a wonderfully comfortable stay.
With incredible seaviews from the property and only a stone’s throw from the picturesque north coast village of Port Isaac, you really experience “coastal living” at its best whilst on holiday here!
3. Flackstead, Brook, Isle of Wight
Great for: indoor-outdoor coastal living with super stylish décor throughout
Just look at the interiors, need we say more? Delicately crafted furniture made from driftwood, white washed wooden cladded walls and a breath-taking coastline right on your doorstep, Flackstead has nailed the coastal look!
This beautifully designed home also has one of the most incredible locations, just off the coast path and with incredible views towards the needles on the Isle of Wight, you will not need to go anywhere to get your hit of fresh sea air. Just sit back, listen to the sounds of the sea from the sofa. Bliss.
4. 33 The Green, Shaldon, Devon
Great for: Rich coastal colours
A perfect mix of coast and country, 33 The Green has elegant interiors with subtle hints of the seaside throughout. The colour palette is neutral and subtly nautical with rich dark blues, teals and a scattering of sandy shades on the soft furnishings.
Being a Georgian period home, it is light and airy with beautifully big windows, letting the sunshine flood into the main living spaces. A short stroll and you’re on the coast, making it a perfect home to retreat to at the end of a day exploring the stunning south Devon coastline. 5. St Catherine’s House, Tenby, Pembrokeshire
Great for: Pastel perfection!
What a house! Not your typical blues and whites, but instead a gorgeous pastel colour palette throughout whilst still using all the colours that remind you of the sun, sea and sand in summer. Another Georgian house, St Catherine’s House also makes the most of its stunning beachside location with its huge sash windows, high ceilings and open living spaces. The interiors are equally striking. Light blues, yellows and greens are scattered throughout the living spaces, making the house feel warm and bright.
You cannot escape the incredible views either, especially if you decide to take a long bath. Just look at that outlook!
