One of the oldest universities in Britain, St David’s College, established in 1822, is situated in Lampeter, and Lampeter Museum is a fabulous spot to soak up some of the area’s rich history and heritage. The Welsh Quilt Centre is a great spot to see wonderful Welsh quilts or take part in a workshop, There are also regular antique auctions and cattle markets. Oh, and we must mention the great selection of eateries in the town too, with lovely cafes, tea rooms and restaurants.
