Looking out over Bridgwater Bay National Nature Reserve at the mouth of the River Parrett, Burnham-on-Sea is easy to get to, just off the M5 at the edge of the Somerset Levels (carry on up to reach Weston-Super-Mare). At low tide you can spot remnants of shipwrecks off Gore Sands and there's an interesting 'lighthouse on legs' to spot on the shoreline as well as the shortest pier in England.
