Cottages near Bridge House

This iconic, much photographed building sits in the centre of Ambleside and is a must see if you are in the area. Built in the 17th century the teeny tiny house sits on a bridge built to allow access to either side of the river. The building was then added originally as an apple store. Restored by the National Trust, you can take a look inside, although it doesn't take long being such a small building. Read less
