Also known as Treloan Cove, Breakneck Beach is a small, easterly facing bay near to Portscatho Harbour. Only accessible via the coast path, Breakneck Beach sits about 300 meters beyond Pencabe headland. Don't be put off by its name though, as this sand and shingle beach is a lovely place to spend a while. With a gently sloping shelf, swimming and snorkelling can provide lots of fun, although caution is advised as there are no lifeguards on duty. At high tide, the beach is mostly covered by the sea.
