TwinPerfectly situated in the pretty Cornish village of Portscatho, Four Winds is a beautifully furnished holiday home with fabulous views from the front elevation over Gerrans Bay towards Gull Rock. Join family and friends on the wrap-around balcony where you can sit in the Cornish sun and take in the sea views or perhaps wander into the village just a few moments' walk away and experience the delights virtually on your doorstep. However you plan to spend your holiday, Four Winds has all you need for a relaxing getaway.
Four Winds has a fabulous open plan living area, furnished in grey and blue hues to match your seaside surroundings. The sitting-area has two super comfy sofas where you can relax after a busy beach day in front of a movie on the Smart TV or enjoy listening to music as there is a Sonos sound system, opposite you will find the dining-table where everyone can gather to chat about the adventures of the day. The kitchen has all you need to cook a holiday meal including the all-important Nespresso coffee machine (bring your own pods). Doors lead from the living area into the spectacular conservatory, cleverly crafted with sun blinds to create the perfect shady spot on sunny days or perhaps a place to relax and enjoy the panoramic views in stormy weather.
Down a step from the living area, the main bedroom is simply delightful with French doors leading onto the terrace and a super-king bed for a great night's sleep. This dreamy room is beautifully furnished in restful pastel shades and has a dressing table that can be used as a desk area, ideal if work comes calling. There's also an en suite shower-room with rainfall shower. Bedroom two has a king-size double bed and access to the conservatory, this bedroom also has an en suite shower-room so no queuing for a shower here! Bedroom three, two steps up from the kitchen, is a twin bedroom so ideal for either adults or children. The family bathroom can also be found here, up a step, where there's a bath with shower over, perfect for a long soak after a busy beach day.
Outside, Four Winds has a stunning wrap-around patio which makes the most of the views. Sit in the Cornish sunshine and relax, the perfect holiday pastime! An allocated parking space can be found off the road above the property with a series of steps leading down to Four Winds. Please note the access is shared with another property and there is a seating area to the left as you walk from the parking area which belongs to the other house. Pretty borders and astro turf surround Four Winds and there's a handy decked area below the patio, the ideal place for storing surfboards or bikes. The steps down from the front garden lead to the coast path, turn left for Porthcurnick beach or right for a short stroll to the village centre. Four Winds really does have all you need for a fabulous Cornish getaway.
Portscatho is the quintessential Cornish village with a pretty harbour, gorgeous beaches and a lovely selection of places to dine. Tatam's overlooking the bay is a great place to start the day with excellent coffee and a pastry, or try Tavola an authentic Italian bar and takeaway, ideal if the chef wants a night off. The iconic Hidden Hut sits along the coast path overlooking Porthcurnick beach where guests sit side by side on wooden benches and enjoy menus created using the very best of Cornish produce, indeed you may never need to take your car out during your holiday in Portscatho.
If you do decide to travel further afield head for St Mawes, a vibrant harbourside village with a scenic harbour where you can sit and take in the view eating fish and chips from the paper. A seasonal passenger ferry can take you to the maritime town of Falmouth with an eclectic range of shops, boutiques and an excellent museum. The Lost Gardens of Heligan should also be on your 'to do' list. Lost in time during WW1 and discovered 30 years ago, the gardens have now been returned to their former glory and make for an interesting day out.
However you plan to spend your holiday time, whether relaxing in the sun on the patio or wandering the secret coves and beaches to be found along the coast path, Four Winds is the perfect base for all your Cornish adventures.
