The White Hart Inn is a traditional 16th century former coaching inn offering home cooked food and a cosy bar with warming real fire. There's a beer garden for summer dining and dogs are allowed both outside and in the bar area, with an allocated area in the restaurant.

Overlooking Morecambe Bay, Silverdale beach is sandy with a good number of rock pools to explore. Good for walkers and families, dogs are also allowed year round. Please note the tides can be fast with muddy areas so it is adviseable to stay close to shore. There is parking nearby and a cafe and toilets in the village.

Some of the best walks in England can be found in the Yorkshire Dales, many of which start in the local area. Thanks to the AllTrails website we can bring you a fabulous selection including a circular walk from Hawes to Hardraw Force, England's highest waterfall above ground surrounded by a natural gorge. So, pull on your walking boots and let the adventures begin.

Situated at the head of Wensleydale in the Yorkshire Dales, Hawes is a delightful, historic market town with charming sandstone cottages and a busy Tuesday market. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, Hawes is well worth a visit.

Tours of this Grade II listed building (the oldest unaltered mill building in the UK) take place on Thursdays each week. Take a look at their website for further details and ticket information.
Calvert's restaurant is situated at Wensleydale Creamery and serves everything from lite bites, coffee and cakes to main meals. There is also a tapas style cheese bar serving artisan cheeses wirth local accompaniments.
Here you'll find a traditional 17th century former coaching inn with a welcoming bar serving home cooked food and real ales. Live sport is the order of the day here so if you are missing premier football and rugby this is the place to go to watch all the action on three screens.
Call in for home cooked food, freshly baked cakes and freshly brewed coffee, all served with a smile. Caffe Curva is a popular place in Hawes, conveniently situated in the centre of the village and dog friendly.
