KingMoments from the golden sands, rolling waves and natural beauty of Polzeath beach, this charming retreat is perfect for those seeking a holiday of coastal adventures. What could be better than enjoying an early morning dip, striding out along the coastal footpath, building sandcastles on the beach, exploring the rock pools and catching the last few waves before the sun sets on another day.
With all this as your backdrop, it won't take you long to unwind and make yourself at home. Open plan living is the main event at Linga Longa with large picture windows taking full advantage of the stunning view before you. It's the perfect excuse to linger a little longer over your hearty full English served up at the dining-table. A cosy living area provides the ideal spot to rest weary legs after a day of surfing and exploring the rugged north Cornish coastline and for further chilling, we highly recommend heading up to the first floor where the large landing doubles up as a snug, leading out to a balcony. You'll have a bird's eye from this vantage point, best enjoyed with your favourite tipple in hand as you toast your holiday home.
With all that sea air, it won't take long to nod off to sleep when bedtime beckons. Two bedrooms are on the ground floor sharing a shower-room and a further shower along with bedroom 3 takes pride of place on the first floor, boasting more of those blissful views.
Polzeath village has a really chilled vibe and is a hot spot with surfers and families alike and with everything in walking distance you can pop back to your holiday home throughout the day. There's an abundance of cafes and restaurants and pop-up eateries right on the beach, and pick up your holiday essentials, beach wear and souvenirs to take home from the selection of shops.
If you are a keen surfer or a complete novice, there's a great choice of quality surf schools on the beach, where you can hire all the equipment and take a lesson and when you head back to your holiday home, the surfer is well catered for with board storage, wetsuit hanging and an outdoor shower.
When you want to venture further afield, pack up a picnic and get ready to explore this popular part of north Cornwall. The pretty village of Port Isaac, home to The Fisherman's Friends, TV's Doc Martin and Celebrity Chef Nathan Outlaw is a delight with its narrow lanes and fishermen's cottages tumbling to the harbour's edge. Trendy Rock is just around the headland, where you might try your hand at sailing, water-skiing, paddle and wake boarding or hop on the foot ferry across the estuary to Cornwall's culinary capital Padstow. If you prefer to explore on two wheels, head to the nearby vibrant market town of Wadebridge where you can hire bikes and hit the renowned Camel Trail, heading in one direction to the moors and in the other along the banks of the Camel Estuary to Padstow.
