This stylish and contemporary four bedroom cottage, located in Wetley Rocks on the edge of the Peak District National Park, offers the perfect retreat for those seeking outdoor adventure or a family getaway. The property is spacious and thoughtfully designed with modern comforts and stylish finishes, making it an ideal base for walking hiking and even visits to Alton Towers.

The heart of the cottage is the large, well-equipped kitchen, complete with all the appliances you will need including a Ninja air fryer and Nespresso machine and enjoying a view of the fields beyond. Leading off the kitchen is a beautifully finished boot-room, featuring a washing machine and tumble-drier as well as ample space for storing muddy boots and doggy gear, just right for those bringing their four-legged friends along.

The large sitting/dining-room has individually designed lighting above the custom-made dining-table which can comfortably seat everyone making it ideal for family meals and get togethers. The wonderfully squashy and super-sized corner sofa is just the place to relax, for evenings in, with plenty of games and a Smart TV for added entertainment. The main sitting-room also has comfy sofas and a wood-burner to keep you warm and toasty.

All the four bedrooms, which include one super-king, two king-sized bedrooms and a twin, are elegantly decorated with lush linens and fluffy duvets to sink into after a fun filled day. An en suite shower-room graces the main bedroom and the family bathroom has a free-standing bath and creates the perfect space for unwinding.

Outside benefits from a garden directly in front of the cottage, as well as a second large garden a short walk from the cottage with an expansive lawn, bordered by trees and bushes. There is an electric vehicle charger and dogs are very welcome. Whether you're planning long hikes in the stunning Peak District or thrilling days at Alton Towers this super cottage offers all you need for a memorable stay.

Wetley Abbey Cottage is in the small village of Wetley Rocks close to the market town of Leek, which offers a variety of attractions and activities, including individual shops, cafes serving tasty treats, and traditional pubs serving great food such as The Black Lion and The Flint Locker.

Wetley Abbey Cottage is within easy driving distance of the breathtaking Peak District National Park, where endless opportunities abound for hiking, cycling and exploring. The famous attraction of Alton Towers theme park, Splash Landings water park and Peak Wildlife Park are all worth a visit, especially for thrill seekers. Further afield you can explore the quaint towns of Castleton, famous for its underground caves/caverns and castle, or Bakewell to taste a truly renowned Bakewell Tart and where you can explore the fascinating Monsal Trail and the regal Haddon Hall. Chatsworth House, the home of the Duke of Devonshire, is a full day's outing with its fantastic gardens, amazing house, walks, cafes and shops. It was featured in an adaptation of Pride and Prejudice and has been used as a location for many films and TV programmes. Why not visit Chester, with its famous Zoo, Liverpool or Manchester for those who love retail therapy, all within a 90 minute drive, or visit the spa town of Buxton, England's highest market town.

Within easy reach of the property there are the historic potteries, Trentham Estate, Churnet Valley Railway and Tittesworth Reservoir. The proximity to nature reserves also makes it an excellent spot for birdwatching and wildlife enthusiasts.
