A family-friendly holiday home situated in a beautiful, rural Dorset hamlet, with countryside views galore. Recently renovated throughout, Spring View offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The property comprises the main house (Spring View) and an attached self-contained annexe (Spring View Cottage), which offers excellent flexibility for family groups or friends staying together but wanting their own space.

Once you have parked on one of the two private driveways, head inside Spring View and you will find yourself in the kitchen that is excellently equipped with all you need to cook up those holiday meals. To the other side of the entranceway there is a super handy utility/boot-room and cloakroom, perfect for keeping shoes and coats out of the way. The view from the open plan sitting/dining-room is the real showstopper; undulating countryside stretches out as far as the eye can see. It will be a treat to enjoy holiday meals here surrounded by your loved ones, taking in the tranquil surroundings. For out-of-season breaks there is a wood-burner that you can fire up to get cosy.

There are three bedrooms at Spring View; one has a king-size bed, the other a single and the last has a 'zip and link' bed that offers excellent flexibility for guests. Your comfort is the top priority and you are sure to appreciate the super-comfy mattresses and high quality bedding. Completing the accommodation is the family bathroom, where you can soak tired legs after long walks in the countryside.

To the rear of Spring View there is a spacious garden with more country views. Sit out on summer evenings and if you're lucky, you may catch a glimpse of the local wildlife in the fields beyond. From the garden, head out of the little gate at the bottom and you can stretch your legs along the footpath. When the evening gets chilly, you can take shelter in the sweet summer-house at the end of the garden.

Spring View Cottage is attached to Spring View but has its own entrance and there is no access internally between the two properties. Step through the door and you will be in the open plan living-room with kitchen and dining areas, with pretty views over the front of the property. Head through to the bedroom and sink into the luxurious bed that can be configured as a super-king or two full-size singles, ideal for teenagers who want their own space or grandparents wanting a retreat! Completing this side of the accommodation is a bathroom that lies just off the bedroom. As Spring View Cottage is self-contained, there is also a private patio area to the side, perfect as a secret spot to enjoy a good book.

Chantmarle is an idyllic hamlet and the name derives from Norman French, with the meaning 'the song of the blackbird'; quite fitting for such a pretty place. The hamlet lies within the Dorset National Landscape and it really is a paradise for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers. The market towns of Dorchester, Sherborne and Beaminster are all within a short drive and the close by village of Cattistock offers a friendly pub and well-stocked village shop.

Another village worth exploring is Evershot; there is a wonderful pub here called The Acorn Inn, which dates back to the 16th Century and featured in Thomas Hardy's novel, Tess of the d'Urbervilles. For an extra special treat, book afternoon tea at Summer Lodge, a five star hotel set within pretty gardens.

One of the special aspects about the beauty of the countryside in this area of Dorset, is how the hills rise and fall, eventually meeting the coastline. The Jurassic Coast is a World Heritage Site and a holiday in this part of the county wouldn't be complete without exploring this spectacular stretch of shoreline. Whether you are interested in fossil hunting, sunbathing or eating fresh seafood, there is something for everyone; from the magnificent vistas at Golden Cap to the sandy beach at Weymouth. This area will be sure to capture your heart and you will want to return time and time again.
