Perched on the clifftop overlooking Sennen Cove yet nestled by neighbouring properties, come and immerse yourself in the timeless allure of coastal living found here in Ommen.

Accessed by a steep flight of granite steps, this cottage really is a hidden gem just waiting to be discovered. Starting life as an 18th Century fisherman's cottage, the unusually large and original sash windows offer unparalleled views of Sennen Cove and the harbour below.

Painted in traditional colours, the cottage absorbs the sun making it a warm and tranquil retreat. A huge outdoor decking area, complete with sleek and comfortable seating arranged in an intimate setting with partial overhead cover, offers some refuge from the summer heat whilst not obstructing the expansive view of blue sky above and sea below. With two fire-pits, a barbecue, outdoor shower, the delights of sea salty air on your tongue and the sound of seagulls, this idyllic setting is the perfect spot for some al fresco dining or simply relaxing and unwinding in the fresh Cornish air.

Inside this gorgeous cottage, cosy charm compliments the breathtaking views of the sea. As you enter, the character and feel of the home where many a story of pirates and smugglers have been shared, envelops you. The heart of this cottage has been tastefully restored by the owners, but the charm and character remain throughout the property. The open plan living area is full of natural light, as the bright skies and sea surrounds you. The luxurious marble topped kitchen features all the modern appliances you could need, beautiful designer crockery and kitchenware and a kitchen to impress any chef ready to show off their culinary skills cooking with some of the delicious local produce.

The dining-table is a social place to share food and memories of the day. Glance through the telescope to enhance the extraordinary views from your clifftop location. Look out for the sea life hidden in the waves below, dolphins are often spotted in these parts. Sink back into the plush sofa to relax by the warming wood-burner, what could be better than putting your feet up to relax after a day exploring the rock pools in the harbour.

The cottage has three cosy double bedrooms dressed with fresh crisp bed linen, the bedrooms share a bathroom complete with power shower to wash away the salt. A large utility area offers a generous space to leave sandy shoes and hang those salty wetsuits to dry.

This cottage is truly a special place with so much charm both inside and out, a warmth of character and history. So why not leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind, come and make special holiday memories and be charmed by your stay at Ommen.

Why not enjoy a stay with extended family or friends and book The Lookout (5742) and The Surf Shack (5176) which both sleep two and Peter's Cottage (5679), which share this special setting.

A visit to west Cornwall is like stepping into a world of tradition and creativity. Discover the area starting on foot, the South West Coast Path is quite literally on your doorstep, walk to Land's End in 20 minutes, stop at the 18th Century granite coastguards look out, views over the cove, the Atlantic Ocean and Mayon Cliffs. By car visit the Minack Theatre under the stars, mix in the vibrant art scene in St Ives, artists have been drawn here for its unique light. Newlyn's bustling fishing port provides a glimpse into Cornwall's maritime heritage, grab lunch at the newly acclaimed Argoe restaurant where their no waste policy offers a fresh and imaginative menu.

Pop into Penzance, the eclectic population add to its charm or visit the ancient chapel at St Michaels Mount just along the coastline.
