Close to the beautiful coastline, cliffs and sandy beaches of Runswick Bay, Staithes and Whitby sits this gem of a cottage sleeping four. Exuding a subtle and stylish coastal charm and creating a serene and inviting atmosphere, Sealark is just the place for couples and friends to enjoy time together. Located in the pretty village of Hinderwell with a pub within walking distance. Hinderwell also has a fabulous tea room nearby, where you can sample Yorkshire Fayre and find local crafts for sale.

Sealark is a newly renovated cottage where the open plan downstairs space seamlessly blends the living, dining and kitchen spaces, making it perfect for social gatherings and cosy evenings. The decor features a palette of soft greens and blues, sandy neutrals and crisp whites evoking the tranquil seaside setting.

The living area is adorned with plush comfortable seating and complementary soft furnishings that enhance the coastal theme. Intriguing artwork inspired by nearby shores and quaint villages adds character and a touch of whimsy to the walls, inviting you to explore the stories behind each piece.

Upstairs the two bedrooms, one king and one twin, continue the theme of coastal elegance with sumptuous beds dressed in high quality linens and co-ordinating cushions and throws. Each room is a haven of relaxation, with thoughtful details and gentle hues that create a restful ambiance. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over, just the place to relax after a day on the beach or hiking on the moors.

Outside, the cottage garden at the front is a charming introduction to the property, with blooming flowers in the summer and a quaint pathway leading to the door. At the rear, the stylish courtyard garden is a private oasis, featuring comfortable patio furniture perfect for al fresco dining or a quiet morning coffee. As the evening sets in, twinkling fairy lights add a magical touch.

Nestling on the edge of the North York Moors National Park and with the moors to the west and North Sea and a wealth of beautiful beaches to the east, Sealark is perfectly positioned for a great Yorkshire break. Take a walk down to Runswick Bay with its beautiful sands and higgledy piggledy mix of houses which feel as if they have just grown out of the cliffs. Enjoy a visit to one of the many delightful fishing villages. To the north you have Staithes with cobbled streets and narrow alleys and wonderful independent shops and art galleries. Staithes is well known as a centre of art in the area with a festival every September. Or enjoy a meal at the Cod and Lobster. Only nine miles down the coast visit Whitby with its busy harbour and the historic Abbey. Why not walk up the 199 steps from Church Lane and stop halfway on the bench to take in the view across the town. Inland the Yorkshire moors offer great walking experiences, charming villages and plenty of sheep. The visitors centre and Danby, with its art gallery and cafe is a great place to start. If you are looking for a city to visit don't miss out on York with is original walls. Take a walk around and see the city from a different perspective, not forgetting to stop on one of the many quaint cafes on the way. Or spend a quiet moment in the magnificent Minster, then stroll along the wonderful medieval streets waiting for you to explore.
