Returning to Orchard Lee Cottage following a full day of exploration and adventure is a welcome sight. Lovingly furnished to the highest of standards, the spacious living area is a great space to relax in whilst planning tomorrow's agenda, especially as you have a glowing wood-burner to snuggle up in front of on the chillier nights. Your four-legged friend is also very welcome. With a fully enclosed patio-area and numerous walks and attractions right on your doorstep, even your furry friend won't want to leave. Musbury itself is a charming village offering a welcoming pub, The Golden Hind, perfect for giving chef the night off, along with a garage and convenience shop within walking distance which is perfect for any day-to-day requirements. However, venturing slightly further afield you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to seeking out and enjoying the pretty fishing villages and all the traditional seaside magic they hold.
Orchard Lee Cottage is the perfect all year round destination for all ages, offering stunning coastline and beaches within close proximity, along with trails and numerous walks to explore which reach out in all directions, all this and much more can be enjoyed from this beautiful property which is nestled in such a charming and friendly village location.
Babes in arms up to six months are welcome at Orchard Lee Cottage. The friendly but unobstrusive owners live next door, so they are on hand to help if requred but will leave you in peace to enjoy your holiday.
Venturing further afield, Lyme Regis with its iconic harbour, boat trips and sandy beaches is just six miles away, there is a new Wetlands Bird and Nature Reserve in the Axe Valley just three miles away, and a brand new Jurassic Visitor Centre and Seaton train station in the seaside town of Seaton just three miles away. Plenty adventure and attraction for all ages.
For those who love their food, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's River Cottage HQ and Trill Farm are neighbours on the Trinity Hill Nature Reserve - both offering a wonderful range of courses and unforgettable dining experiences which you could book in advance to fit in with your holiday dates. The River Cottage Canteen can be found in Axminster, as well as a thriving weekly market on Thursday morning for local producers. Millers Farm Shop in nearby Kilmington stocks local, French and organic produce and delicious holiday treats.
