Super-kingWithin the bustling village of Stockbridge, this contemporary cottage has been renovated to an exceptional standard. There is so much to explore locally; with sites such as Salisbury Cathedral, Stonehenge, Avebury and Beaulieu all within easy reach, it's the perfect spot for a break away.
Inside this comfy cottage - once a drinking establishment known as The Tap Inn in the 19th Century - the interior has been thoughtfully put together to provide a touch of luxury. Take advantage of being in the heart of Stockbridge with plenty of places to shop, eat and drink on your doorstep. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted by a sense of homeliness. The bedroom on the ground floor is complemented with an en suite bathroom and the most comfortable bed. For those wanting to spend time catching up with friends and family, the sitting-room is perfect for this; in the winter the log-burner is lovely to cosy up in front of. The chef won't be disappointed with the beautiful kitchen and the dining nook means that they won't be lonely whilst creating some memorable meals.
The two remaining bedrooms are both upstairs - mind your head on the beam across the stairs - these rooms are equally as sumptuous as the ground floor bedroom. With both offering en suite shower-rooms, everyone has the opportunity for a moment of peace at the end of a busy day.
The courtyard will prove popular for those seeking an al fresco dining spot - take your morning coffee outside whilst you make plans for the day's adventure.
Nestled in the glorious Hampshire countryside, Stockbridge is teaming with independent shops and restaurants; its high street is truly a delight. From here you can easily visit the beautiful cities of Winchester and Salisbury; Salisbury's Cathedral has the tallest spire in Britain. For those looking for an outdoor adventure, why not explore the North Wessex Downs on foot or by bike from the village you can pick up the Clarendon Way. Close by is the Test Way cycle path, ideal for younger guests as it follows a disused rail line so is traffic free. The River Test is renowned for its fly fishing opportunities - why not pack a picnic to enjoy too!
