Perfectly located for outdoor enthusiasts and those who love exploring but want to have a stylish and cosy cottage to luxuriate in. The Baggarah fits the bill.

As you approach the cottage over the farmyard cobbled courtyard you will be captivated by its rustic charm, the original barn shutters are painted in a soft green which complements the countryside ambiance. Set amidst rolling farmland and within walking distance of Hadrian's Wall, this cosy cottage offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of life in an unspoilt part of the world.

Upon entering you will find yourself in a warm and inviting living space, boasting not one but two comfortable sitting-rooms. Each tastefully decorated with plush sofas and armchairs, creating the perfect space to relax and unwind. The second sitting-room, known as the snug, has a crackling wood-burner to warm your toes when it's chilly outside, whilst the main sitting-room is large with enormous windows, with views of the fields. Here French windows open onto the large garden.

The cottage features a contemporary kitchen perfectly styled and with everything you need to whip up a tasty meal or prepare a healthy picnic for tomorrow's travels. The charming dining-room has lots of room for you to gather around the table and share stories of your day's countryside explorations.

Two lovely bedrooms with crisp linen and pretty soft furnishings grace The Baggarah, the king-size bedroom has a door out to the garden, decorative lamps and a beautiful chest of drawers and the twin room has bunk-beds which are perfect for either children or adults. The large shower room and is just the place to relax tired legs after a trip along Hadrian's Wall.

Step outside and you'll be greeted by the large garden, sit awhile and just relax in the peace and quiet, listen to the birds and sheep and take a deep breath and relax. Featuring a children's climbing frame with swings and a large, covered sand pit, families are well catered for, the little ones will have hours of fun and adventure whilst you sit with a book and a glass of something special and listen to the sounds of the owls in the barns and plover and curlew overhead.

The rural location ensures peace and tranquillity, providing an idyllic backdrop for nature enthusiasts. Lace up your hiking boots, grab your binoculars and set off on a scenic walk through the countryside, exploring nearby trails and discovering hidden gems along the way. Enjoy the fresh air and witness the ever-changing beauty of the Cumbrian landscape.

The Baggarah in Low Row is situated in the beautiful north Pennines and is a perfect starting point for those who enjoy the outdoor life. Cumbria is an excellent county for bird watching, sightings of the Common Sandpiper and White Stork have been noted, visit RSPB Geltsdale which is a hotspot for breeding curlew, take a look at the Cumbria Bird Club website for inspiration. Walking is a dream in this area of Cumbria, try out Cartmel Fell, White Pike, Broughton Moor and Orrest Head. If you have some energy left this area features a number of interesting waterfalls including Tiberthwaite Gill, Rydal Falls, Taylor Gill Force and many more. Talkin Tarn is a 65 acre lake which is set in beautiful woodland and fields, spend a leisurely hour in a boat on the lake, have a go at kayaking or try your hand at archery. Golf and riding are also available nearby. New Mills Trout Farm is great for fishing as are the rivers (you may need a licence).

For the historians this area is packed with interest and fascination. Hadrian's Wall, which can be seen from the property, is a World Heritage Site and the most important monument built by the Romans, extending 73 miles from Wallsend to Newcastle. Birdoswald Roman Fort has the longest stretch of wall visible today. Carlisle is but a 25 minute drive and is situated on the rivers Eden, Caldew and Petteril and is full of history dating back to Roman times including a castle.

Brampton is a picturesque market town which is graced by the octagonal Moot Hall in the centre of the town, along with cobbled streets and ancient properties, many made of local red sandstone. The house in which Bonnie Prince Charlie stayed is now a shop but worth a visit.

Set amongst spacious countryside The Baggarah and its surroundings will captivate you and call you back time and again.
