In a magical setting with Hallane Beach at the end of the garden and far-reaching views across St Austell Bay towards Mevagissey and Portmellon, Hallane Mill is a stunning retreat situated in a secluded valley. With wild swimming and fabulous coastal walks from the doorstep, this gorgeous abode is perfect for couples looking for a peaceful getaway or honeymooners seeking the ultimate romantic retreat.

From the moment you arrive you will be enchanted. A narrow lane takes you through a small hamlet of pretty cottages and right at the bottom overlooking the bay your holiday idyll awaits! Parking is nice and convenient, located to the rear of the cottage, and down a small flight of steps you will find the entrance. Beautifully furnished to the highest standard throughout, Hallane Mill is truly exceptional. The living-room is simply gorgeous, decorated in pastel tones to match the fabulous seascape views. Comfy sofas invite you to relax and on cooler days the wood-burner will keep you cosy. The window seat has captivating views and provides the perfect spot for a quiet read or gazing out to sea, why not treat yourself to a coffee from the Nespresso coffee machine and take in the view! Through to the Shaker-style kitchen/diner and you will find all the equipment you'll need to cook a holiday meal with the farmhouse table providing the perfect place for a chat over dinner. You will also find a handy utility-room alongside a separate cloakroom on the ground floor.

Climb the stairs to the first floor where you will find two gorgeous bedrooms and the family bathroom. Bedroom one to the front is simply dreamy, with a blissful king-size bed, luxury linens and that view! This bedroom has an en suite shower-room too. Lovely bedroom two has 'zip and link' beds so you can choose either two singles or a super-king double bed. The stylish family bathroom has a bath with shower overhead, where you can enjoy a long soak after a busy day.

Step outside and you will find plenty of options when it comes to sitting in the sun and taking in the stunning views. In front of Hallane Mill you will find a patio, perfect for al fresco dining from dawn until dusk. To the right as you look out to sea, a grassy path leads to a second lawned area with garden furniture including a hammock and barbecue. Take another narrow path to towards the sea and you will find a secluded bench with the beach in front of you! A wooded area provides a glorious display of bluebells and wild garlic in springtime, such a pretty place. There is also a garden area in front of the boat house (please note, there no access to the boat house), so you will be spoilt for choice as to where to relax for the day. Please be aware that children will need to be supervised at all times due to the cliffs and nature of this beautiful location.

To the left of the cottage through a gate a footpath leads down uneven steps to the pebbly beach. This path is for public use and used especially during July and August, however it remains quiet early morning and evening and off season as it is such a secluded spot. Please rest assured, with so many quiet areas around the garden you will always be able to find seclusion. Wild water swimmers and paddle boarders will love this beach and there's even a chance the resident seal will say hello or a pod of dolphins glide past.

Welcome to your beautiful holiday abode, Hallane Mill.

The coast path runs along the boundary of Hallane Mill, to the left a hike to the pretty harbourside village of Charlestown will take an hour and a half and in the opposite direction Pentewan is around an hour's walk away. As is typical of the Cornish coast, the path is undulating with some steep sections, but the views are well worth the effort. Pentewan has a long sandy beach where you can hire paddle boards and other beach equipment. Porthpean has an 18 hole golf course with breathtaking views over the bay and another glorious sandy beach - there are so many choices along the south Cornwall coast!

With Hallane Mill being in a remote location there is no supermarket delivery service available however the local farm shop Lobbs Farm are happy to deliver on request. If the chef wants a night off then atmospheric Charlestown has plenty of eateries to choose from; famous for its historic tall ships and for being one of the locations for the filming of Poldark, there are a good selection of restaurants, pubs, and cafes to choose from.

If you wish to explore further afield head for The Lost Gardens of Heligan just six miles away, discovered 30 years ago after being lost in time since WWI and now restored to their former glory, or a little further away visit the mighty domes of the Eden Project which make for an interesting day out. However you plan to spend your holiday days, Hallane Mill is a magical place for a getaway.
