Pack up a bag, grab your loved one and whisk them off for a magical break away at the wonderful world of Little Lesquite! Tucked away along a country lane, with a stunning outdoor bathtub for two for under the stars bathing, miles of country rambles right on your doorstep, birds and wildlife to entertain you throughout the day (binoculars at the ready) and taking centre stage, the most gorgeous views stretching out across open countryside to the nature reserve and wildly dramatic Helman Tor. This rural idyll is the ultimate retreat for laid back lovers to soak up the great outdoors.

Whether you are lounging in the bath, bubbles of either variety optional, enjoying elevenses perched on the steps or barbecuing over the fire-pit watching the sunset at the end of a perfect day in Cornwall, relax kick back, take in that view and revitalise your senses.

Step inside and this charming shepherd's hut has been exquisitely deigned by the lovely owners who along with their dear little dog, are on hand to give you a very warm welcome and then leave you in peace to enjoy every moment of your time at Little Lesquite. Comfort and romance were surely at the top of the list with the sumptuous king-sized bed, adorned with luscious linens ensuring that lazy holiday lie ins are a must. When you are ready to cook up breakfast, the handmade kitchen comes complete with a 2 ring induction hob, electric oven, fridge, toaster, kettle and even a coffee machine - what more do you need. If you can't be tempted to eat outside, you can dine inside around the little dining-table which can be folded away when you want a little more space.

Perfect for summertime escapes and thanks to that all important wood-burner, making it even cosier on long lazy winter breaks, Little Lesquite is the perfect tonic all year round.

This area is a ramblers and wildlife enthusiasts paradise so don't forget your walking boots and head out to explore the great outdoors that surrounds you. There is no shortage of fantastic walks at the nature reserve, spotting all manner of plants and wildlife along the way but the icing on the cake has to be the climb to the top of Helman Tor when on a clear day, you can see the Atlantic Coast to the North and the English Channel to the south - bliss.

You may be tempted to head off along part of the 30 mile Saints Way, a pilgrimage way stretching across the county from one coast to the other, also passing through the reserve.

The world renowned Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan will delight garden enthusiasts and the Lanhydrock Estate (National Trust) with its magnificent country house, glorious gardens and wooded parkland makes for a perfect day out. Lanhydrock also has a network of trails, great for cyclists of all abilities, and for more fun on two wheels, venture to Cardinham Woods and the Camel Trail.

In the little village of Lanivet there's a small shop for those essential provisions along with a pub, popular fish and chip takeaway and even a village tennis court. At the nearby town of Lostwithiel you can discover treasures and delights in the antiques and vintage shops and conquer the remains of the medieval castle. The local garden centre provides wonderful views of the castle and whilst you are there why not enjoy some treats in their ever so popular tea room.

No visit to Cornwall is complete without a trip to the coast so head to the gentler south coast to marvel at the historic tall ships at Charlestown and wander the narrow streets in the trendy harbourside town of Fowey with its abundance of shops, galleries, pubs and cafes and plenty of activity on the water. The golden sands of Daymer Bay and Polzeath and waiting to be discovered on the north coast where you might be tempted to try your hand at surfing and at Cornwall's culinary capital, Padstow, gastronomic delights will tempt you around every corner.
