DoubleWelcome to The Woodsman, a rather sweet, quirky escape for two nestled in the rural bliss of the Staffordshire countryside.
Step inside to discover your charming welcoming hideaway, ideal for a tranquil few days away at any time of the year. The open plan living space includes two sumptuous armchairs tucked next to the warming wood-burner (ideal for cosy evenings in!), and the cute kitchen area has everything you might need for creating simple yet delicious meals, including a traditional Swiss Raclette grill. The beautifully crafted wooden dining-table is a lovely spot to perch and enjoy a leisurely breakfast or your morning coffee. And after a day out and about, you're sure to sink into the cosy double bed and enjoy a tranquil night's sleep surrounded by the peacefulness of the countryside. There's also a pretty shower-room here too.
The outside space is really quite magical. Here you'll find the glorious wood-fired hot tub, just perfect for romantic nights under the stars, and a unique barbecue ideal for cooking up an evening feast. Best enjoyed around the outdoor seating area with a glass of your favourite tipple in hand, of course! Bliss…
The owners of The Woodsman have put in place a number of wonderful sustainable features, including a wildflower meadow with over 300 native plants, bird feeders and a dedicated wildlife area, which includes a large insect hotel, hedgehog house and a bee feeding station. You're welcome to pick your own fruit and vegetables from the owners' private allotment and eggs are provided by the hens who live on site.
Part of Copper Beech Glamping, The Woodsman is nestled on a wonderful site with The Potting Shed (5103) and Shepherd's View (5111), and each retreat has plenty of privacy.
Logs for the wood-burner and hot tub are generously supplied by the owner, as well as charcoal for your barbecue.
If you're looking to explore your surroundings, there's plenty of outdoor adventures to enjoy in this wonderful part of the world, and you're welcome to borrow bikes to explore the local area if you fancy leaving the car behind! Loynton Moss Nature Reserve and Cannock Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are both havens for wildlife and make for lovely days out. Trentham Gardens is also well worth visiting, with 725 acres of gorgeous scenery to explore, alongside an outdoor shopping village ideal for picking up a few treats.
Spend a wonderful day in nearby Eccleshall, a thriving village with a lovely selection of eateries and independent boutiques. Literary and history-lovers will love the characterful town of Stafford, with its fascinating heritage and plenty to see and do, including Stafford Castle, Sandon Hall and Victoria Park.
