Spend blissful mornings soaking up the sunshine in the sun-trap courtyard or in the beautifully maintained garden before heading across the road for a refreshing dip in the sea.
Perfect for family getaways, Harbour View is ideal for sociable get-togethers whilst still allowing plenty of space for those wanting some peace and quiet. On the ground floor, the spacious kitchen leads out to the beautifully light dining-area with a wood-burner and its floor to ceiling windows make the most of the gorgeous views of the garden and over the sea. The games-room is a fabulous space for entertaining children with table-football, a 4K Smart television, Xbox One and Wii, both with many games! This is right next to a wet-room which is ideal for washing off sandy toes after a day at the beach.
Upstairs, the cosy sitting-room has a 65" 4K Smart television, ideal for relaxing movie nights in. Better yet, the fabulous floor to ceiling bay window allows you to look out to sea from the comfort of the sofa...bliss! One of the beautiful double bedrooms is also on the first floor, along with a family bathroom with a bath and shower over, perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. Head upstairs again to the second floor where you will find a further three bedrooms, ideal for a peaceful night's sleep; a family room with twin beds and bunk-beds which the children will love, a smaller children's room with comfortable bunk-beds and a simply lovely main bedroom at the front of the house with pretty sea views. There is also a handy shower-room on this floor. Harbour View has been beautifully decorated throughout and has the extremely rare benefit of spaces for two cars behind its gates and an additional charging point for electric cars that you use, pay as you go style, making it a truly wonderful place to spend your Isle of Wight holiday.
An easy ten minute stroll will take you into Ryde town centre where there are plenty of places for delicious dining and independent shops to wander around. If you don't fancy bringing your car on holiday, both the hovercraft and catamaran passenger ferries stop at Ryde and are just a short walk from Harbour View. Alternatively, the nearest car ferry is located in Fishbourne, just a ten minute drive away. You can explore the Island by car, foot or bicycle; there is plenty to discover whatever your preferred form of transport.
Ryde beach and neighbouring Appley beach both have a wide expanse of soft golden sands, particularly when the tide is out and the waters are shallow, perfect for the younger ones to enjoy a splash in the sea! Bask in the sunshine and admire the beautiful views while you enjoy a spot of delicious lunch or an ice cream at one of the beach cafes. If you fancy venturing a little further, the next village along is Seaview, which you can get to by walking along the beach - tide permitting - with several fabulous restaurants along the way if you fancy a pit-stop to refuel. From your Ryde base you can easily access all corners of the Island, from the amazing beaches and coastlines to the charming country villages and local pubs. Check out our webcam before you arrive, which is stationed at the Ryde Inshore Lifeboat station overlooking Appley beach.
