This charming stone and granite built cottage is perfectly located for exploring both coasts of Cornwall. Lovingly transformed by the owners from an old forge into a super cosy open plan luxury cottage, the minute you walk in you will feel instantly at home.

Step through the door and you will find a spacious open plan living-room with polished wooden floor, oak lintels and luxurious sofas. French doors lead out to a granite balcony, which overlooks the stunning, well tended garden with birds and flowers aplenty and shared with the owners who live across the courtyard. The perfect spot for a leisurely breakfast or a glass of rose on a summer evening as the sun goes down.

Walk through the living-room to the cosy bedroom which has a sumptuous king-size bed and bathroom with romantic roll-top bath; you will be truly comfortable staying at Puckey's Forge.

The friendly owners are happy to welcome you and offer advice but equally happy to leave you to yourselves so you can relax in peace and quiet.

Ideally located for exploring both coasts of Cornwall you can be on the south coast within 30 minutes, with its pretty fishing villages and glorious sandy beaches. Enjoy some water activity and catch the ferry from St Mawes to Falmouth, or for the more adventurous why not hire a kayak or paddleboard and explore some of the hidden creeks of the Fal estuary. The north coast, with its dramatic cliff paths and surfing beaches, is equally close by. Visit Crantock, Mawgan Porth, Lusty Glaze and Watergate Bay stopping off for lunch in one of the beachside cafes.

For gardeners there are the nearby gardens of Trewithen, Heligan and the Eden Project to visit, while closer to home there are some lovely woodland walks and the village has an excellent local pub a short walk from the cottage. The owner was the first chef in Cornwall to have received a Michelin star so you can expect to be served some delicious local food.
