A delightful, Grade II Listed, Cornish thatched cottage set amongst a wooded valley in this unspoilt part of Cornwall, Millstone Cottage offers a fabulously relaxing holiday where you will find the true meaning of peace and quiet.

Open the stable-door into the cottage and feel calmness wash over you, the earlier part of the cottage has low ceilings making it feel lovely and cosy (please take care). The open plan kitchen/diner has a charming wood-burner where you can perhaps enjoy a romantic meal for two or relax on the sofa with a glass of wine and family or friends. The sitting-room has a big sofa to crash on, perhaps with a good book, watch a film or play a game of scrabble; open the French doors and bring the outside in.

The two bedrooms on the first floor are very cosy with little traditional windows tucked under the thatch. One is a gorgeous double and the other a very cute single room which offers flexibility for guests. The family shower-room is on the ground floor and has a large shower to wash away the sand after a day at the beach. The owners, who live just up the road, have lovingly restored the cottage, keeping the original features whilst ensuring you have a very comfortable and tranquil stay.

A baby in arms, up to six months old, is welcome at Millstone Cottage.

The cottage is surrounded by a private garden where you can move around to catch the sunshine all day long, listening to the birds and babbling stream.

Millstone Cottage is a great spot for exploring The Lizard, with gorgeous walks from your front door. Just down the road you will find the National Trust's Poltesco beach, walk through the wooded valley and old serpentine works to this pretty little beach. You can follow the coast path and make a circular walk to Cadgwith where you can enjoy an ice cream, or perhaps fish and chips, depending on what takes your fancy. The rugged Lizard peninsula is easy to explore from this location but staying in this little slice of heaven you might not want to go far.
