Less than half a mile from the World Heritage Jurassic Coast, The Old Manor House is a beautiful 16th Century, Grade II Listed house, full of character with a delightful enclosed garden and a games-room with a pool table. This spacious and elegant terraced house is the perfect location for a memorable family holiday, a special celebration or a gathering of friends - and your dogs are welcomed too!

Situated in the village of Charmouth, with a shop, bakery and two pubs within a five minute walk and just 10 minutes to the beach - you may decide to abandon the car for a few days and just enjoy life in this coastal village. The beach is famous for fossil finds; the most common are ammonites and small examples can be collected from along the foreshore.

The open plan kitchen/dining-room is very well-equipped for holiday feasts, a separate snug, sitting-room with wood-burner, games-room and ground floor wet-room allow plenty of space for everyone. The first floor, equally spacious and accessed by two separate staircases, has five bedrooms - two doubles, one with an en suite shower-room, a triple room (which can also be made up as a double and a single for added flexibility, if wished), a twin room and a single room - a family bathroom and cloakroom.

The mature gardens of The Old Manor House have almost as much character as the house itself, with seating areas for al fresco dining, a long lazy barbecue or a quiet read.

The Jurassic Coaster buses run past from Poole in the east to Axminster and further west, allowing spectacular views of the Jurassic Coast from the top deck.

Lyme Regis, just three miles away has it all; the iconic Cobb, great restaurants, cafes, pubs, independent shops, a sandy beach, summer watersports and great ice cream shops.

To the east, the bustling market town of Bridport has a market on Wednesdays and Saturdays and nearby West Bay has a vintage market beside the quay.

Further west takes you to the relaxed county town of Dorchester and beyond this to the Isle of Purbeck, where you will find the historic village of Corfe and sandy beaches at Studland and Swanage. If you are interested in seeing a collection of fossils discovered in the area, The Etches Collection at Kimmeridge is the result of 35 years of meticulous work by local expert, Steve Etches.

Inland, the rolling hills of Dorset reveal some delightful villages, great farm shops, Iron Age forts and beautiful scenic walks to enjoy.
