Fall under the spell of this stunning location with an unforgettable stay at the enchanting Witch's Wagon. Squirreled away in the pretty hamlet of Warleggan, yes it is a real place, The Witch's Wagon shares its home with The Lion's Den and The Enchanted Wardrobe, each very much having their own private space (and plenty of it). Picking up on a theme? As if the Poldark link does not provide enough literary connections, the residents of Warleggan have cheekily twinned their hamlet with CS Lewis' fantasy land 'Narnia' and from the minute you arrive you will realise why - it really is quite a magical place!

Surrounded by 12 acres of open meadows, historic woodlands and moorland streams you will be entranced by the breath-taking panoramic views across open countryside. Wake to the sound of birdsong, spend the day spotting wildlife, marvel at spectacular sunsets and star studded skies, share stories around the firepit and enjoy meals in the great outdoors as you embrace country living at its very best. There is no need to fear a witch's cauldron here but for further relaxation a super bubbling hot tub is yours to enjoy.

As you enter this larger than life open plan shepherd's hut, your adventures continue as quality craftsmanship, exceptional detail and the ultimate in comfort awaits. The bespoke fitted kitchen complete with oven, two ring hob and a full-size fridge is a delight, and there's a dining-table and chairs when you want to eat under cover. Should the Snow Queen decide to turn things a little chillier, there's a toasty wood-burner to keep you warm and cosy whilst snuggled up on the comfy sofa. There's a proper king-size bed with a lovely bedstead for the adults, just behind which are hand-crafted oak bunk-beds for the children - and bigger 'children' for that matter.

Because this is glamping, there's also a stylish en suite shower-room which has plenty of hot water, a wash-basin and that all essential flushing toilet! For a romantic rendezvous for two or family fun filled holiday for four (or even larger groups if you book The Lion's Den and The Enchanted Wardrobe) this is a perfect retreat for a spellbinding trip.

Dare to escape for the day, exchange the four wheels of the Witch's Wagon to adventures on two, as you discover the network of cycle trails at nearby Cardinham Woods and Lanhydrock Estate or stay on foot and explore the 100 square miles of wide open wilderness of Bodmin Moor, stopping off at the occasional moorland village pub to refuel along the way. The beautiful gardens and historic houses at Pencarrow and Lanhydrock Estate are close and there is live theatre and shows on offer at the Sterts Moorland Theatre (seasonal) and the Rum Store at Carnglaze Caverns. The friendly owners are on-hand should you need any local recommendations and even offer scrummy home-bred sausages and bacon for purchase, but otherwise will stay out-of-sight.

No holiday to Cornwall would be complete without a trip to the coast and with both north and south coasts within easy access, where to begin? On the south, take to shipwreck diving and shark fishing in Looe or for smaller catches try your hand at crab fishing off the Banjo Pier. Relax on the beaches at Whitsand Bay or watch them messing about on the water in trendy Fowey. At fashionable Polzeath on the north coast you can ride the waves, indulge in food served up by celebrity chefs in Port Isaac or discover Arthurian legend at Tintagel. Surely you are captivated by now?
