DoubleOn the outskirts of Seaview and within a few minutes' walk from Seagrove Bay, take in the stunning sea views from not one but two balconies. 61 Solent View is a wonderful holiday home in this delightful corner of the Island. With beaches close by and a choice of places to eat only a 10 minute walk away, you will be sure to enjoy your stay.
The property is laid over three mezzanine floors and is light and spacious throughout. One of the double bedrooms is on the ground floor, with a shower-room next door and the further three bedrooms, including the main suite, are on the second floor. Both the main and twin rooms boast lovely views over a field of resident donkeys and the Solent beyond. The principal bedroom has a modern en suite shower-room and a private sea-facing balcony. Enjoy a cup of tea, some peace and quiet and a good dose of sea air. There is an additional family bathroom on this top floor.
The sitting-room is on the middle floor, with doors out to the other balcony - complete with sun loungers, this is the perfect place to enjoy a siesta in the afternoon. The sofa is positioned to also admire the view, come rain or shine. On the ground floor, the kitchen/dining-room is a large open plan space designed with a retro feel. Doors from here access the enclosed garden, with outdoor seating slightly raised to enjoy the sea views. There is a snug on this floor with a television and sofa, so the kids can enjoy a film to themselves!
Off street parking is provided for two cars to the front of the property, please be aware there are some steps up to the front door.
The north-eastern corner of the Island, where Seaview can be found, has some of the most picturesque and idyllic beaches on offer. Both Priory and Seagrove Bay are within a few minutes' walk from Solent View, each with gorgeous white sands and perfect swimming conditions. In the summer months these bays are favourites for beach barbecues - when the sun is shining, this is the ideal way to prolong the evening, as no one wants it to end!
A 10 minute walk takes you into the village of Seaview. There are several places to eat here, including the Seaview Hotel and the Old Fort pub. Lily's cafe is open all year around and serves a great cup of coffee, plus a good variety of breakfast and lunches, with indoor and outdoor seating. The larger town of Ryde is a level walk along the promenade, taking approximately half an hour - here you will find a larger variety of restaurants and a good selection of shops to peruse.
There is plenty to do on the Island and as it's not that big, nowhere takes too long to get to. Take a day to explore the more dramatic coastline on the west of the island, as endless coastal walks are here to be enjoyed by all ages. Solent View is the ideal base to enjoy your Island holiday.
