TwinTucked down a leafy lane with birdsong in the air, the rural tranquility of this pretty semi-detached cottage will delight those looking for a break from busy daily lives.
Just inland from the coast and set next to Pinnock (4203) and along from the friendly owners' home, Winwalloe Cottage is an ideal retreat from which to explore the lovely countryside and coastal areas of this relatively undiscovered part of Cornwall.
The cottage dates back to the 18th Century and has been updated in the most sympathetic way to provide lovely, comfortable holiday accommodation, decorated throughout in soft relaxing colours. The boot-room, perfect for drying off dogs or damp children after a day on the beach, leads into the well-equipped kitchen/diner where a rustic pine kitchen table provides the ideal space for leisurely meals. An open archway goes through to the cosy sitting-room where you can toast your toes in front of the open fire.
Stairs lead up from the kitchen/diner to the two good-sized bedrooms – one with a king-size bed and the other with twins – and family bathroom. Outside, the sheltered patio is a great spot for evening drinks and star-gazing on clear, balmy nights.
One medium or two small, well-behaved dogs are most welcome, so your canine family members can also enjoy a wonderful Cornish holiday.
Winwalloe Cottage is nestled in a lovely rural setting; a delightful base to set out from each day and only 10 minutes' drive from good access roads. The coastal footpath meanders along clifftops and bays nearby, while woodland walks abound around the cottage.
Adventurous types can enjoy shipwreck diving or shark fishing from Looe, whilst history lovers will delight in the iconic smugglers' harbour at Polperro, and water sports enthusiasts can hop on the Bodinnick ferry to the sailing town of Fowey and beaches of the beautiful Roseland peninsula for sailing, kayaking and paddle boarding lessons.
Winwalloe Cottage offers the reassurance of friendly owners close by, should you have any questions during your stay, but assurance of privacy if you just want to relax. The family's two friendly dogs will come to say hello when you arrive, offering the warmest of welcomes!
