There is a fabulous open-air swimming pool for you to enjoy. It is not heated but great fun in a wet suit if you are not so brave !

This is the huge, fully enclosed terrace for guests' sole use. Gates from the private parking space lead straight into the courtyard so unpacking is easy.
Orchard Dene is the cottage in the background. The gated steps lead down to the pool from a really large and private sun-trap patio behind the wall.
The cottage fronts onto the little village road, parking is to the left-hand side, and from there you can go straight through to the patio.

The owners kindly provide you with a parking permit for the private car park at Putsborough beach, one and a half miles from the cottage.
Saunton Sands is nearby - a vast expanse of sand to enjoy!
The church is at the heart of this pretty village.
The pretty market town of Bideford.
Woolacombe is magical.
Croyde Beach is loved by surfers.

We had a wonderful relaxing week in this lovely cottage. The location was perfect for us to visit local beaches and to travel to Braunton, Barnstable and Dunster. During our stay the lady next door ( sorry I didn't catch her name) who looks after the property gave us lots of information on the area and recommended places to us. We would not hesitate to recommend this property for a holiday....
