As is traditional in Cornish cottages, the stairs are very steep so please take care.
The first floor bedroom has a view over the green towards the estuary. Due to the steepness of the stairs, we would not recommend carrying your infant to this room.

Sit in the sun outside the front door and enjoy the blissful view.
Please note the gravel parking space is only suitable for small cars.

The secluded back garden is surrounded by fabulous sub-tropical plants. Take great care of the varying levels, steps and quirky patio with slightly uneven slabs.
Please note there are four steps up to the seating area of varying depth.
The handy ground floor utility/boot-room has a WC and washing machine.
Oodles of space for storage of bikes and beach gear in the utility/boot-room. Please take great care on the steps in this space. There is one step to access the WC/outdoor space and two steps down to the storage space.
These steps are on the Ground floor and are between the bathroom, living space and bedroom 1. They are unique, at an angle and varying depths. Take very great care.
If using the parking space please be sure not to block the road.

Greenshanks is in a beautiful and tranquil location overlooking the village green in Point and with views of Restronguet Creek. The cottage is well-equipped with high quality furniture, fixtures and appliances. The spacious utility room is very useful for storing bikes etc. The private garden at the back is a peaceful place to relax and is well-planted with a range of shrubs and plants. The steps downstairs and the steep staircase take a little while to get used to – but we had been made aware of this beforehand in the cottage information. Greenshanks is a lovely cottage in a beautiful location. It’s attractively decorated and comfortable and there are lovely views to the estuary. The courtyard garden was sunny and sheltered. It’s a great location for visiting so many beautiful places in Cornwall, with Trellisick, Falmouth, Truro, and the Roseland Peninsula nearby. Really lovely setting and location. cottage was lovely and clean, very inviting. Enclosed garden for dog was useful, beautiful walks and riverside setting. Parking required some skill as the space was very small, but road was not busy. Beds were super comfy. Nice pubs within striking distance shop a couple of miles away, very peaceful indeed!...

Greenshanks is warm and welcoming, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The tropical garden, is a lovely little sun trap! Overall, a lovely, quiet place to stay, in an idyllic location near the creek!

Lovely area and could be a nice rental BUT: Fridge not clean. No clothes drying facilities outside. No welcome pack. No comments book. Awful damp smell throughout the house, but worse in lounge, which did not disappear during the week. Garden needed cleaning, dead leaves everywhere, hard seating but nothing to relax on in garden....

Thanks so much for sharing your review on Greenshanks Cottage. Although we weren't aware of your thoughts during your stay, we arranged an inspection as soon as possible after you let us know. Whilst there wasn't any evidence of damp at the property, we do find that older Cornish cottages such as these do benefit from good ventilation. We're sorry that you were disappointed with some aspects of the cleanliness and have followed this up with the housekeeping team to ensure these areas are addressed.
