We were a family group of eight- ranging from 4 to 70 for our week's stay. The house was spacious, extremely well equipped and had a variety of rooms downstairs so that children and adults had space both to mix and also to find a quiet spot. The garden had three distinct areas to sit - all comfortable, one with a popular barbecue area. There was no grass area in the garden but down a short lane , near the house, there were fields to run about in, play boules, football and pick blackberries. We visited Battle, Hastings, Rye, Bodiam Castle, Charleston, Great Dixter and Lewes during the week. I would definitely recommend both the house and the area....

Highly recommend the cottage was of an high standard,ideally situated to visit surrounding areas. Plenty of room for our family of 8 plus the dog. The outdoor space suited everybody from the rose garden to the fire pit (toasting marshmallows).
