This is a lovely property - the ever changing stunning views across to Saint Anthony's head and the Percuil River are the icing on the cake. Lounging on the window seat with the binoculars at the ready was a favourite pastime. Carricknath was very clean, spacious and had everything that we needed for our holiday. The area is beautiful - the Roseland Peninsula is rightly considered to be one of the loveliest places in the British Isles There is no need to use the car very much as St Mawes has a good range of places to eat, ferries to Falmouth and Place and there are lovely walks alongside Carrick Roads, the estuary of the River Fal. Local gems: a ferry trip, lunch at The Hidden Hut at Porthcurnick Beach, G&T on the beach terrace of the Tresanton Hotel, the walk to St Just in Roseland Church. We had a super family holiday here. ...

Mrs Dugan June 2024
The most wonderful views across Falmouth Bay and the peace and quiet reminded us how busy and noisy our ordinary lives are. Thank you for a memorable week at Carricknath.

We had a fabulous stay at Carricknath , all rooms are large and spacious , good clean bed linens , and towels , a very well equipped kitchen , sadly no tumble dryer certainly not an issue for us . The views are breathtaking and each morning it was a joy to sit and watch over St Mawes a continuous changing painting of scenes , sunrise and sunset… stunning ,the steep hill as everyone mentions is steep but worth it for the fabulous views and the bakery and eating places in the harbour makes it worth every step .! We would definitely book again . Parking for two cars also a bonus ....
