Oystercatcher is accessed over a short bridge that adapts with the tide. A ramp leads down to the pontoon where you can launch your kayak at high tide.

Looking back from the houseboat, the parking area is behind the fenced area, just off the road. There is a 30 mile and hour speed restriction here so no rushing traffic to disturb.

Bembridge village is a short walk away. Visit the National Trust windmill. the only surviving one on the island.
Across the harbour, along this lovely walkway, you can reach St Helen's Duver and cafe.

The lifeboat station at Bembridge is an iconic landmark.
The steam train is great fun for all the family.
Further afield, St Catherines Lighthouse sits overlooking the Solent.

This was a perfect holiday for two couples. We were all blown away and will definitely be back. Loved this property. Even the neighbours were lovely. The only thing we would like to add is a BBQ would make this 10/10. To be fair we purchased our own but other than that this is an absolute catch and dream of a property!!!! Loved it!!! Thank you!! Oyster Catcher is a gem of a houseboat, beautifully designed with comfortable bedrooms. You immediately feel at home. Could have spent all my time there gazing out at the everchanging vista, but Bembridge is brilliant to explore and a great base to travel further....
