Oystercatcher is accessed over a short bridge that adapts with the tide. A ramp leads down to the pontoon where you can launch your kayak at high tide.

Looking back from the houseboat, the parking area is behind the fenced area, just off the road. There is a 30 mile and hour speed restriction here so no rushing traffic to disturb.

Bembridge village is a short walk away. Visit the National Trust windmill. the only surviving one on the island.
Across the harbour, along this lovely walkway, you can reach St Helen's Duver and cafe.

The lifeboat station at Bembridge is an iconic landmark.
The steam train is great fun for all the family.
Further afield, St Catherines Lighthouse sits overlooking the Solent.

Just a wonderful piece of heaven!! A fabulous locaiton and a really well thought out accomodation providing airy space downstairs, 2 bathrooms and a utility room plus well proportioned and thought out space outside. Loved the shingled front patio area for bbq's. The views from the lounge, kitchen and balcony were gorgeous and the soft furnishings created a wonderful cosy and fresh environment to relax in. We'll be back!!...

Oystercatcher is a truly unique property for a relaxing and peaceful holiday in an amazing location. It is beautifully and stylishly decorated whilst still feeling homely, and so comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped - everything has been thought of - and the woodburner is lovely on a slightly chilly evening. Bembridge is a pretty village with many cool little shops, beautiful sandy beaches are just 10 minutes walk away for a swim and we had the most delicious crab sandwiches just 5 minutes walk from the houseboat! For sea lovers like us, its just perfect. We're definitely booking again....
