Beautiful property every thing you could possibly need included.

Walnut Barn was beautiful. We arrived slightly early and the housekeeping team were still inside. As they left, they were really helpful and friendly. The gentleman who also tends the lawns had just been and came to say hello and asked us to put the recycling bins out Tues night, for collection Wednesday. We did do this but no one emptied it so Thursday it was brought back onto the driveway. The house was great. A few cobwebs but being in the country you just have to expect a good few spindly spiders in corners. The gutters and skylights need a clean but the whole house was gorgeous nonetheless. We would come back to Walnut Barn in future. The only criticism I have is that we couldnt find a pizza tray for the oven or any flat non-stick trays - only big roasters which I couldnt put a pizza flat on either. Also, we only got left 1 single tea towel for drying up all week with 6 of us there. A spare would have helped because with flies about we tended to use a teatowel to lay over cooked dishes of food incase people wanted to go back for seconds, and then no one knew what to do with their damp hands after they had washed off their hands. The beds are very comfy and all the appliances are high end and user friendly - but the hob was tricky and I could not find the instructions anywhere. Not in the drawers listed in the house manual. I had to google it. Definitely recommend a stay here for a large group. The games room was great and theres lots of games in the house and books for people including the kids. The wi-fi worked well and my two teenagers never moaned to me once about it lol. ...

I'd absolutely recommend Walnut Barn. Three generations of us stayed for a week in May half-term, age ranges from 4 to 69, and it was perfect for our needs. Our 4 year old was on the swing and playhouse most of the time! The beds were really comfy, there is everything you need in the kitchen to cook a 3 course meal, and it is finished to a high standard. Lots of places to sit in the wraparound garden to make the most of the sun, and a gas BBQ (which we used a lot!). Its in a beautiful area, in easy reach of lots of Devon attractions and a Tesco superstore in Collompton. We will be returning!...

Lovely property with plenty of space and bathrooms , the outside building very useful when the weather wasn't good as could use to let off a bit of steam always good when young children involved. The kitchen was very well equipped with all the things you could ever need for cooking , it makes life so much easier !...

Not a great start to the holiday with the windowsills full of dead and live flies. Bins were also full of rubbish. Cleanliness is clearly not a high priority as this has been in previous reviews and nothing has changed since then. Well equipped for 10 and a nice location, albeit near working farms so the smell of silage is strong most days. Wrong week I guess. Not a decent frying pan to be had, which is such a simple piece of holiday cottage equipment. The games room is not the greatest in the winter, a great table tennis table, musty and filthy though. Overall we had a good week, not a great start with all the issues and such a shame as it is a lovely location and house. ...
