A great property, very clean, tastefully decorated and well equipped. A good location for exploring the Roseland and further afield. It is up a very steep hill from the harbour, but you do get a scenic view from the bay window. Would certainly stay here again as it was one of the best properties we have stayed at for a while....

It is lovely to hear you enjoyed your stay at 1 The Brakeyard. It really is the perfect location for exploring all the Roseland has to offer. Sitting above the centre of the village, but close enough to walk in; it does involve an uphill walk back to the property after a visit to the harbour, but we are glad to hear the view made it worthwile - we have to agree! Well appointed and comfortable house near restaurants and pubs as long as you don’t mind a steep climb back to the house.

We had a very enjoyable stay at The Brakeyard. The village is very close and unlike many in Cornwall it is not overcrowded during the day and has a wide range of services. There is a great view from the house and there are several very enjoyable walks around the area ....

Wow! what a beautiful house in such an amazing location! It exceeded all our expectations in every way. It has great views over St Mawes' harbour from the upstairs sitting/dining area. Much thought has gone into making this stylish and well equipped house a comfortable and relaxing place to stay with the added benefits of upmarket appliances and dedicated parking. It is quiet and private despite there being a Primary School nearby. The house is a short walking distance from the quay, shops, pub, cafes and restaurants, albeit down a very steep hill which makes it unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. Falmouth is a very enjoyable 20 minute ferry ride from the quay (every half an hour during the day) for those wanting to explore further. A really wonderful place to stay in an excellent location. We could not have wished for more!...

Mrs Porter May 2023

A lovely well equipped spacious cottage very close to shops, pubs and restaurants. It is up a steep hill from the centre of St Mawes but it kept us fit. We didn't really move the car as there was so much to do from St Mawes, walking and using the ferries. We enjoyed the view from the window seat and would return....
