The Hideaway at Polhawn

Absolutely loved this cottage. It is in a fairly remote part of Cornwall so it is very peaceful. Although the owner lives next door, she completely respected our privacy but it was lovely to meet her. The views from the lounge and even the bedroom are to die for. The weather was very stormy but to see and hear the waves crashing down was great. The cottage was well equipped, the bed was super comfy, if you want a peaceful break away from it all this is the place to go....

The Hideaway is like a little piece of heaven on Earth. Peaceful, spectacular views, comfy bed, high quality linens. So much to see and do in the area, if you can drag yourself away from your immediate surroundings. We didn’t take our car out once. Just walked to Cawsand and Kingsland, swam in the sea, walked around the stunning peninsula. We couldn’t have asked for more. Things to note - the access is steep, so no low slung cars and may be difficult for anyone with disabilities. You need to pack everything you need in the kitchen, ie. Oils, sauces etc. but once there, the kitchen is well equipped for cooking. Carolyn lives next door, but it still feels really private. She’s there if you need her, but very much not, if you don’t. I couldn’t recommend this place enough, and we really hope to visit again to get another slice of heaven in the future. Just bliss!! ...

The Hideaway is a lovely property, well equipped and perfectly located for events at Polhawn. The views from the terrace are superb and we had no problem using the access track in our small hatchback. A great base to explore this remote part of Cornwall....

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Hideaway, Polhawn. It is in a lovely location with the South West Coastal Path on the doorstep and Kingsand and Cawsand nearby, where you will find the nearest public houses and restaurants. We found the owner, Carolyn, and her daughters to be very helpful and accommodating....

The accommodation was first class with first class fixtures and fittings. The kitchen had everything you need for cooking a full meal. The towels, bed and bedding was so comfortable. When we arrived there was a nice piece of home made cake which was a very nice welcome. The views were amazing and hard to take your eyes off. It will be even better when the car charger is working. We could get a charge at Cawsands car park which is approximately 10 minute drive, so it was not a problem. The lane down to the property is not for the faint hearted. We drove down very slowly so there was no problem. ...
