Situated a little distance from the side of The Old Mill is this pretty pond (please take care with younger guests and dogs). You'll be sure to spot the colourful dragonflies here.
These original external steps are quite steep so please take care and use the rope handrail. The area you can see on the left-hand side, at the top of the steps, is not enclosed so please be mindful not to go too close to the edge.
Keep an eye out for this sign on the road which is at the entrance of the driveway down to The Old MIll.

The Old Mill is truly a fantastic place to stay. It’s so different from most holiday cottages, where else can you see swallows roosting the other side of the glass! The renovation of this property is amazing, such attention to detail, the property has been furnished beautifully and the kitchen is really well equipped. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely week at The Old Mill and would highly recommend it. We loved the peace and quiet of the countryside and were able to totally relax in the cottage. It had everything we needed and the design is so pleasing, i.e. mixing the old with the contemporary. Very nice owners, helpful and friendly, comfy beds, fully equipped kitchen and lovely grounds. Beautiful property in a perfect location, so quiet and peaceful....if you need to get away from the madness of every day life this is the place to visit. Even my two young sons (12 & 14) had a fantastic week which was our biggest concern but they loved it!! The owners left us a lovely welcome pack which included some treats for our dog which was a lovely gesture. This is probably the best property we have stayed in and would definitely recommend it....

We had a wonderful stay at the Old Mill! Everything was perfect - the surrounding (nature at its best) and the cottage itself with all the amenities. We especially enjoyed the different outside areas to relax, so did our dog! Lots to sniff and explore there! Highly recommended as starting point to explore Dorset!...

A beautifully restored old property, which is spacious and comfortable. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quiet, private place to stay, but also wants to visit the many attractions that this part of Dorset has to offer.
