The atmosphere of the house and garden was so relaxed and lovely, and what a fantastic location - we loved it for all the doorstep walking and local beaches. A home from home feel somewhere relatively out of the way, yet still some great places to eat within walking distance. We found it to be a great base for local exploration whatever the varied Cornwall weather came up with - the utility came in very handy for those rainy days too. This property is as impressive as the setting and views it enjoys: all are splendid. The location is relaxing and peaceful, with a get-away-from-it-all feel, and the view of Nare Head is spectacular - enhanced by the superb picture windows. Halcyon is spacious and very well appointed, with everything you could want for a thoroughly enjoyable stay, including a lovely garden, and it was a wrench for us to depart at the end of our week....

We had a very enjoyable stay at Halcyon, which has large comfortable bedrooms (one with a lovely sea view) and a good sized living room (also with sea view). The house had everything we needed for a great week's holiday with our dog. The location is really peaceful with just a short, steep walk down to the beach. We ate at the Rosevine Hotel one evening, a very short walk away, and had lunch at the Hidden Hut. We particularly enjoyed the secluded garden at Halcyon which is a lovely sunny spot for a glass of wine! ...

Our second stay at Halcyon and it is as comfortable as ever. The views of the sea and the bay are wonderful. The garden is lovely and so peaceful with birds and wild life to watch. We were so lucky with wall to wall sunshine for two weeks but plenty to do if the weather is not so kind....
