The north coast coastline is very dramatic making for some interesting coastal walks.
Crackington Haven is just down the road from Meadow Barn, perfect for chilled days down the beach.
Tintagel is just down the road and a great family day out with something for all.

Meadow Barn is a delightful retreat, so glad we came across this absolute gem by pure good luck. Welcoming, clean, fantastically equipped with everything you could need, and so peaceful. The whole cottage is inviting and cosy, the furnishings are so comfy. Excellent bathroom, superb shower, nice deep bath, complete with big fluffy towels and robes (which we did not need as the weather was so hot!). The farm is so quiet and due to that and the king size bed we were oversleeping nearly every morning! Location was great away from all the bustle but only a short drive to all the best places that North Cornwall has to offer. The cottage has wi-fi -- the cornish style, where it sometimes does things 'dreckly' -- but we didn't care as we were too busy out and about or chillin' on the sofa on an evening or walking round Jon & Liz's farmland walk complete with wood and pond watching the wildlife. The owner's are so lovely, unobtrusive, there if needed and I really enjoyed being shown round Jon's old vehicle's (I will be returning for my turn driving the old tractor! lol). We're really sorry that the WiFi passcodes weren't left in the cottage on this occasion. The property does offer a WiFi facility but the owners confirmed that the codes had been overlooked on this occasion - they'll replace them immediately and we're really sorry for any inconvenience caused. An amazing place to stay, and in such a beautiful setting. Although its a working farm, its probably the quietest farm I've ever been on! The owners are friendly, helpful, but are not under your feet - so you have a really relaxed stay. The cottage is equipped to the highest standards, and the 'welcome pack' on arrival is a lovely touch. The information pack about local facilities is also really helpful....
