Had a wonderful stay at Pound Farm Cottage. It was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and so pretty. It was a good centre for exploring the area which we hadn't previously visited. Sherborne was lovely with good shops and cafes and Cerne Abbas was nearby and well worth a trip. All the surrounding villages were picturesque and Leigh itself a lovely friendly community. The south coast was an easy drive with plenty to see and do. Lots of museums when the weather wasn't quite so favourable! The Chetnole Inn (about one mile away) served excellent food and ale. Diana was very helpful and the cream tea was much appreciated. All in all an excellent holiday and we would recommend both the property and Classic Cottages....

Diana and Mike, thankyou for a fabulous week at Pound Farm Cottage, such a beautiful well appointed, exceptionally clean holiday rental. The cottage was extremely spacious, with a large kitchen, lounge, bedroom, bathroom and independent utility room which proved invaluable. We used the cottage as a base for exploring the local countryside, on foot and using our ebikes, which we we able to securely lock in Mike's garden shed. Sherborne was a gem with its historical and attractive buildings, independent retailers, famous school and Sherborne Abbey. Parking in the long term car park opposite Sainsbury's is advised and low cost. The Melbury Estate at Evershot is a perfect long walk to Melbury Osmond - a 'chocolate box cover' picturesque village with its thatched cottages and ford. The welcome provisions were very much appreciated and enjoyed as were the plums as an extra. We will happily recommend your cottage to our friends and look forward to returning....

Everything about this cottage came up to or exceeded our expectations. The owners have provided everything that their visitors could conceivably need. The furnishings and kitchen equipment were of high quality. What was additionally surprising and pleasing was the spaciousness of the interior for a one bedroom cottage and a decent sized and sunny private garden. Absolutely wonderful....
