Clean and full of character. Well equipped and great showers! Beautiful grounds - lovely games room and bbq. The stone cottage was very cool in the hot weather and a real haven after a hot day walking, although might feel a bit dark in a week of wet weather. Felt very private in spite of the other two cottages close by. The double bedroom in the annex is really sweet but it wouldn’t work if you are a family with young children as it is quite removed from the main house - you go outside to get to it. Good for grandparents, or in our case we could leave the teenagers in the house and have a bit of privacy and quiet! The Wi-Fi is good in the living room but unfortunately you can’t get it in the dining room, kitchen or annex (probably the stone walls) which might be important if more than one person in your group needs to work remotely. Location is good for exploring Dartmoor and Tavistock itself is quite a nice town with a good market and swimming pools. You can walk to Tavistock from the cottage. Most walks on the moor, you’ll need to drive to a starting point....

Giles cottage lovely place to stay with children and dogs. Garden on a sunny day fabulous just to relax or play with the children. Well situated to local amenities, drive down to property is a little tricky but not a major issue especially when you see where you are going....

Fantastic place to stay, we went with our baby son, dog and parents and had a brilliant week. Some great walks on the doorstep or a short drive away and SUPER dark at night so you can sit out with hot chocolates and enjoy looking at the stars. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet and cosy / outdoorsy holiday!...
