Lawn End

Lawn End is an excellent location for exploring Seaview and for travelling around the Island. The furnishings are unusual but tasteful and the accommodation is well equipped, with really nice touches that showed care had been taken by the owners to make visitors feel at home during their stay. The 2 bedrooms were ideal for 3 adults and there was plenty of space in the property for people to rest away from each other, or to socialise together. We would definitely stay at Lawn End again as it is comfortable, there is off-road parking, and it has all the amenities one would wish for in a seaside location....

Comfortable cottage in a lovely and quiet location, close the the beach and coastal path. Local amenities at hand - eating out and a couple of quaint shops. In our view, this is the best part of the island - lots of interesting places nearby to visit and stunning scenery. The property itself offers adequate facilities for self-catering as well as a peaceful garden for relaxing after a long day out and about. There are two main bedrooms and two bathrooms. The third bedroom is, as outlined on the rental website, really only for children as the stairs are very steep and narrow. Great place for two couples....

Lawn View was a perfect location for lovely beach walks. A couple of great pubs within walking distance too. You’ll need a car to get about, especially to the supermarket for groceries there’s only a very limited range in Seaview itself. Property worked for four adults. The living area is not huge so might be a struggle for more people. The heavy dinning table needs to be moved out to allow seating on both sides. This makes it more difficult to move around the room. Fine for us adults but might be more difficult for younger families. Would definitely recommend Classic Cottages. Easy to book, clear communication on access to property. Prompt response to questions or minor issues. Very professional service....

The property was filed with a lot of quirky wooden objects, candel sticks & wooden ornaments. These collected dust and there was coffee table made from driftwood unfortunately this was too low and not straight so could not be used. The ensuite bedroom only had French doors and no windows that opened so was very hot. The ktchen was not equipped for 6, we had 3 teaspoons. The property requires maintenance as the main entrance doors were not secure as this was not a deadlock and the doors could easily have been pushed to break the lock. We also had an issue with the ensuite shower which flooded & had leaves & debris coming up following a heavy storm, this apparently was a known issue with the property. Having said the above negative comments, the property worked for us as there were 2 of us, but may not work for more than 2 visitors. The property was not completely cleaned before we went in, I had to clean 3 shelves in the fridge and found knives in a cupboard with residue of food, there were a lot of cobwebs from the wooden ornaments as mentioned before....

We loved our stay at Lawn End, it was ideal for our short break on the Island and we would definitely return, hopefully in summer to take advantage of the outside deck. Great location in Seaview, we enjoyed an evening meal at the Seaview Hotel, their new chef certainly knows what he is doing and we recommend the seafood chowder and a chilled glass of white!...
